Find Your Why

 

Your why is the motivation and drive behind WHAT you do and HOW you do it. Identify your own, personal Why your why is your purpose in life, that driving force that keeps you going through those hard times and keeps you on high alert when things are going well. when you imagine this in your mission statement, you can develop more self-confidence, and a greater sense of fulfillment, and make more of a positive impact on whatever you set your mind to. Here are a few tips on finding your why:


Question Everything

Self-reflect on the current status of your life, ask yourself questions about your core values, what do you want out of life, and what fulfills you. It's good to ask yourself questions before you identify your why, your information gathering to pinpoint your why.


Dont Beat yourself up

When you ask yourself questions, the answers will reveal themselves, which will lead to self-awareness, and can lead to harsh self-judgement. Just be kind to yourself, finding your why is a self-discovery and a work in progress.


Lean on Your Pals

Ask your peer support group for some useful insight to help pinpoint your strengths and opinions, it's good to hear a different viewpoint outside of your bubble of perception.


Volunteer In Your Community

When we volunteer, we have a warm fuzzy feeling, that simply makes us feel good and strikes a chord in our soul, this aligns with your value system and guides you in the direction of your why.


Journaling

Journaling is a great way to learn about ourselves and each other. By organizing your thoughts and feelings on paper, will help you keep track of your goals, in-depth problem-solving, and have a closer relationship with yourself.


Visualize 

Visualizing your ideal future can help you identify your why and add a sense of clarity to the direction that you want your life to go.


Your Why Statement

Think in terms of your contribution and impact, completing the statement: I exist to------(Contribution) so that ------(Impact). Life without purpose is like a raft with no direction, just letting the waves take it.

Finding your why is important, not only for success in your personal and professional life but also for your mental well-being.
