Tips For Achieving Self-Empowerment

As a combat veteran who served two decades in the armed forces, and came back home to an ungrateful nation, and went to a private catholic university to find solace and redemption, I adapted to change, from wearing a uniform to wearing a backpack full of schoolbooks, I smashed my associates, bachelor's and master's degree (MSW), from being thrown to the wolves of education to leading the pack. For all this to happen, I believed in myself, I took the first step to nurture and embrace the confidence that I needed to put one foot in front of the other, to keep moving forward, going around, and sometimes through all obstacles. Knowing myself, knowing that I do not have limits, helped me lay out the path to the finish line, and that line is never ending, it may stop at one completion of one goal, but then off to the next one. Self-empowerment is all about taking control of your life, it's like a ship, being controlled by the waves, going in the direction it does not want to go, but by getting on that Helm, taking back control, and steering it in the direction that you desired, then you have arrived, to the land of milk and honey. If you are insecure about your ability to achieve your ambitions, you can take steps to live an empowered life. Focus on your drive, identify what you can control, and keep an objective, goal-oriented mindset. Just like a baby, they use the crawl, walk, then run method, you can't have one step before the other.

Be Positive

Believing that you are in control of your destiny, instead of relying on fate, without purpose there is no luck, they go hand in hand. Do a self-evaluation of your strengths and weaknesses, while pursuing your passions and trusting in your ability.

Start with Smaller Goals

Remember what I said about the crawl, walk, and run method? Start small, with measurable, achievable goals, that will set you up for success, before you tackle the more difficult ones.

Toxic people can spread hate and discontent, they will try to contaminate all the good that's in a person and throw a monkey wrench in your whole operation. Surround yourself with positive vibes, the more you do this the negatives will fall by the wayside. So being around like-minded motivated and dedicated people can help you feel more empowered to achieve your goals. Positivity can be contagious, it's good energy to share with like-minded people.

Positive Self Talk- powerful statements can help shift a negative mindset to a positive one by saying kind and motivating words like "I got this" and "I am strong". Displaying confidence in your ability to achieve your goals can help you take the steps to achieve them.

Now Live That Empowered Life- Taking those steps that will lead you to a life that you designed, offers the benefits of an empowered life. Now go out there, be brave, be bold, be..SELF-EMPOWERED.

Purpose Driven Warriors

Purpose-driven warriors are those who are driven by a sense of purpose and who align their personal and career goals with a higher purpose. These warriors can inspire others to achieve great things, create a positive impact on society, and ultimately achieve long-term success. A purpose-driven warrior knows no boundaries or failures too big to handle and pursues their dreams and goals no matter what. There are things that purpose-driven warriors do: Positive Outcome Focus To become a purpose-driven warrior, the primary focus must be on the positive outcome, the outcome that you're trying to receive, instead of any potential negative outcomes. Practicing this technique will push any negatives to the back burner. Failure is your Friend Failure can be an obstacle to success, failure is not permanent, you fall down, dust yourself off, and keep moving forward, just reflect and learn from these life experiences. Self-Awareness Being self-aware will give you an outward perspective on your...
