Even the bakers and the candle stick makers may have trouble focusing on the task at hand, here are some tips for better focus and concentration:
Eliminate Distractions
Avoid distractions, such as outside interference, like social media, and background noise. Designate some me time, wherever makes you feel comfortable, a library, coffee shop, etc., where others can't disturb you. Keep your focus on completing whatever you set out to do.
Limit Multi-tasking
Performing multiple tasks may make us feel productive, but it's not good if your mind is all over the place, you may feel frazzled by the end of the day. I try not to juggle multiple taskers, I kick out the taskers one by one, with laser focus. Multi-tasking can be considered less efficient and effective than single-tasking because it splits the brain's attention and resources among multiple tasks, which can lead to a decrease in productivity and an increase in mistakes. Multi-tasking can create a lot of mental and emotional stress because it requires the brain to continuously shift gears in many different directions.
Mindfulness
Mindfulness activities can improve mental focus, during mindfulness practices, the brain becomes calmer and the body becomes more relaxed, by focusing on our breath during the process, our mind does not become distracted, by doing this, we can learn to use our breathing techniques to bring our attention to a particular tasker. Practicing mindfulness involves breathing techniques, guided imagery, and other practices to relax the body and mind and help reduce stress.
Get More Sleep
Getting a sufficient amount of sleep at night can help to stay focused, improve concentration, and improve performance in your field of work. It is recommended to limit your screen time on your computer devices, at least 30 minutes to an hour before going to bed, to allow time for the body to relax and wind down.
Exercise
Start the day off with a brisk walk, yoga, etc, exercise can boost the brain's dopamine will affect focus and attention. Physical activities can help you perform better on cognitive tasks help relieve tension in the body, and relax the muscles, the mind and the body are linked together.
Closing Thoughts
By building your mental focus, you will find that you can accomplish more and concentrate on the things in life that truly bring you success, joy, and satisfaction.
